Kurt turned 3!!!

Here are some fun pictures from his Pirate Birthday Party that he had on his actual b-day... it was a blast!
Kurt & Jake waiting for the party to start:

Kurt & Max excited about their pirate hats:
Digging for gold coins in the sand:

Going on a treasure hunt:
under the slide was the 1st clue:
kurt found it:
by the 4th clue we only had about 4 little pirates still excited about finding the treasure:
the final clue:
following the path to find the treasure:
FINALLY, the treasure... they were SO excited!
Kurt and T opening his treasure box:
Lunch time was all of Kurt's favorites... corn dogs, dorritos & grapes and Kurt cleared his plate!  Jake followed in his brother's footsteps and enjoyed his own corn dog (1st time having one and polished the whole thing off!), kinda nasty, but made his dad proud!
Kurt & Olivia:
Lucy & Sayler:
Rowan & Jack:
Ruby & Naomi:
Taylor & Coleman:
Sydney, Piper & Max:
Getting ready for the pinata
filling up their bags with candy:
blowing out the candle:
and last but not least, the sword fight! Thanks to Grandma for supplying all the kids with their own swords... it was the best part of the party:
the kids ganging up on Captain Dougie:
I had to teach some of the girls how to hold the sword, but the got the hang of it pretty quick :")
Even Jake loved the sword fight and it is now his new favorite toy... he won't let go of that sword for anything! We cannot pry his little fingers off of it... he crawls with it, stands with it and eats with it in one of his hands, he is crazy!:

Kurt's first time on a horse:
Kurt loved it SO much that he excitedly told my mom as she was walking the horse around the path "this is just like Disneyland!" I guess that means it was super fun?
Kurt the horse whisperer...

Ragnar Relay 2009

Kurt and a bunch of his buddies ran the Ragnar Relay April 24th - 25th.  They had a team of 12 and relayed from Santa Barbara to Dana Point- 188 miles! This is Kurt's first run, right along the ocean:

We had everyone over to our house after the race for a bbq and this is how we found little kurt while everyone else was eating... in our room, tv on and passed out on a chair!  I think this is how both kurts felt after the race:

for laughs

These pictures are from back in January so Kurt is about 2 1/2 yrs and Jake is 6 months...
I just wanted to document Kurt's legs ...
vs. Jake's legs...
Yes, I had to pry those fat little thighs out of the chair but he is starting to thin out & I just don't ever want to forget Jake's little chubs!

And it is not as fun as it looks.

Doc & Shula

And Saturday we headed to the SeaLife Aquarium at Legoland...

We miss you already :")

JAKE

I can't believe that this happy boy is almost 7 months already and eating peas! I have been having so much fun with my little Jakers.  He has the sweetest, happiest, most adorable personality.  He is always looking around, trying to make eye contact with everyone in the room so that he can smile at them and show off his mouthful of teeth (he has 6 of them by the way)!  His older brother adores him and is always making him giggle... life is good :")

I took him for his 6 month check-up and shots last week... here are his stats:
weight- 21.12 lbs  (96%)
Height- 27 3/4  (94%)
Head Circumference- 18 3/4 (97%)
(Kurt was disappointed because he thought that Jake would be at least 98% on everything.)
When the nurse gave Jake his 3 shots, he laid there with a straight face and the gave the nurse a huge grin when she told him she was done ... he really is an angel child!
